In my couples therapy practice, I provide a compassionate, neutral space where both partners feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether you’re in the early stages of a relationship, have built a life together over many years, or are at a crossroads, sharing your life with another person can be deeply rewarding yet challenging. Couples therapy offers an opportunity to explore your relationship, clarify where you want to go, and strengthen your bond—whether through deepening connection, overcoming obstacles together, or, when needed, transitioning apart with understanding.
Common challenges that bring couples to therapy include difficulties with trust, communication breakdowns, intimacy struggles, and navigating life transitions such as marriage, parenthood, or blending families. Whatever your unique journey, I am here to help you build resilience and approach challenges with a renewed sense of partnership.
Supporting Relationships Through Vulnerability & Connection

My Approach to Couples Therapy
As a trauma and relationship specialist, I blend Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Somatic Experiencing (SE) to facilitate meaningful change. EFT helps reveal and address underlying emotions that drive conflicts, fostering empathy and a secure connection between partners. SE complements this by helping each partner tune into non-verbal cues and manage stress responses, creating a foundation of safety and trust.
In our sessions, we’ll work on shifting out of negative conflict cycles, improving communication, and learning to meet each other’s emotional needs. As a neutral guide, I help you build a supportive and understanding partnership.
What to Expect in Couples Therapy
In my approach, the couple is considered a unit, with both partners as my clients. We’ll begin with a joint session to identify your goals, followed by individual sessions with each partner to gain insight into your personal histories. All subsequent sessions are together, with occasional individual sessions as appropriate.
To start, I typically recommend biweekly sessions, allowing time between meetings to apply new insights and practice relationship skills. As you see progress, we may shift to monthly sessions to support continued growth. Throughout our work together, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of your relationship dynamics and develop tools to face challenges together with compassion and resilience.

"Love is not the icing on the cake of life. It is a basic primary need, like oxygen or water."
